updates.

because this blog needs so much more of it.

Okay, the frequency of me blogging has reduce tremendously, and there is a reason. I have a crucial sem. Seriously. Cannot afford to fail a single paper and it doesn't help with a lecturer that comes in on Day 1 to tell you that the passing rate is an average of 50% of the class. I had to disagree with that fact until she started teaching.. help.

It's like her tongue has a mind of its own. Like a u leady to lok? (are u ready to rock?)

Anyways.. if there are still readers out there, this one's for you guys :D

Some people have compact digicams, some have DSLRS, some have bridge cameras, some have camcorders. I don't. But we all have memories that eventually fade. It's our choice to preserve them to remind us of who we once were and who we are today :D Whatever posted today, is only a tip off the iceberg of the many blessings in my life that I'm really thankful for.

PS: Don't look for your picture lah. It's one that will never fade off my mind and my heart :)

wicked wednesday

I'm blogging again! weeeeeeeeeee~ okay I admit it feels really good to blog so often again :D but sure there are people asking..

Q: Eh you got nothing better to do everyday but blog?
A: NO. I DO have better things to do in life, blogging is just one of them.

Q: Whatever happened to picture posts? And what's been happening in your life la?
A: My camera died okay. Brilliantly I took upclose shots of waves in Redang one year back which killed my A430. A lot of things happening in my life - I've got friends that are happening.. happening events going on.. honestly maybe I've not been meeting up with people except uni friends, or even when I do I hardly make a record out of it, take pictures etc..

Q: So why bother blogging about other stuff, I mean a blog is about your life isn't it?
A: Yes it is about my life. Life is about making choices. I choose to blog about my passion, what I enjoy doing :D and once in awhile, hopefully, I'll blog about my life (when I get a new cam).

Q: What makes you think people will bother reading this?
A: Nothing. I'm just pen-ing my thoughts down. It's like when you get this awesome tune in your head you HAVE to write a song or at least record yourself humming the.. ok NVM I don't think any of you know what I'm talking about..

Oh, I've decided to upgrade my fortnightly habit of blogging to a weekly thing! and this is the first of it! It's titled Wicked Wednesday (sue me again for being cheesy). Anyways, here goes!

Taking Back Sunday. The Starting Line. Mae. Motion City Soundtrack. Relient K. Sound familiar? No? Then try youtube-ing them. You'll like what you hear :D If you're a fan of the aforementioned artists, you will love sceneatthemovies.

Who are these people? Yup, my thoughts exactly when I first heard one of their tracks, Sunsets and Sketches. What kind of music is this? Honestly, it's what I call uplifting/electic or 'driving' music. Think Fall Out Boy, Story of The Year.. spinning with their guitars, excessive jumping and prancing around on stage with absolutely euphoric tunes. Ok.. that's nice, but what do they really sound like? Glad you asked. Click on the picture above or visit this site - Garagebands.

Hey you haven't answered my first question! Who are these people?!?! Okay hopefully by the time you get to here you've heard at least one of their tracks. Sceneatthemovies are Rohan (bass + vocals), David (drums) and Dharen (guitar + vocals). The rest of the band's history lies in their myspace. Formerly known as Keepers Arms, the trio started out as an acoustic army of three and slowly progressed to become what they are today - sceneatthemovies.

Is this one of your cheap efforts to promote something else so you can get more hits? Er no. I'm actually very fkin amazed by sceneatthemovies. I love euphoric stuff, stuff that touch your core. What more to write music like this - it's like a dream. And they made it a reality! I suppose you can say this is my favourite local band, along the others like Aural Joint :D

My opinion : Anyone and everyone should check them out, even if you don't know the bands listed above. Malaysian music at its best. This is just a beginning of the euphoric movement.

And the cheez-o-meter gives a 5 out of 5. For

By reading that you should have wasted one minute of your life! Hah! Yes I know how lame and desperate I am to attempt to entertain my readers. Nevertheless, here's another photoless update coming your way!

Last Sat was camp review, which was a week after Usaha Camp '07. Was pretty much stoning through the review.. I mean what can I say right.. "Yup the food was good. Morning inspection was awesome, if I were a junior I'd laugh my socks off and get sent outside the camp and keep laughing as a punishment."

But seriously it brings back memories, especially the return of yaoknowwho.. Anyways, moving on as it drew closer to the much anticipated event of the day - Flyniver2ary! (so cool right use the 2 as S, if I sold this idea to fly.fm probably could've bagged lotta cash la!)

All geared up in my Hitz.FM cap and Hitz.FM wristband and ready to rock! (I'm serious about the Hitz.FM merchandise) Met up with Jinhao, Chris, Ed, Yit Meng, Vincent, Sapawi, John and some old school mates.. and then met up with RyanB and 7 Sparkz!

Maybe that sentence sounded like vietnamese or finnish to you but just for your info, this is 7 Sparkz (as shown below)

Uber awesome poppers.. anyways, once again, Bass Agents hit us so hard we had to get moving.. this time it was Ganjaguru and Didjital (yep Ganja's back for good) it just kept getting better... it's one of those mixsets compiling probably few of the best tracks ever played. Superstar DJ, Annihilating Rhythm, Harder Better Faster Stronger (hardstyle mix), Nobody Likes The Record That I Play.. it was a lot of good stuff shoved into 30 minutes.. though bluddy fly.fm people interrupted halfway through..

That's all till today.. and I'm suppose to run through my uni app for UTAR.. better get started then..

1 more day till my hoodie!

untitled

I know it takes more than apology to make up to you guys who were always there whenever I had an update. Honestly, thanks a lot if you still read. There are some things I need to tell certain people.

To photo junkies - sorry, this post is not going to have any photos, my camera really died, now it can't even take a simple video of me shuffling (too many frames per second i suppose).

To ardent readers - there's not going to be any funky reviews, philosophical talks here for the time being. Just needed to let you guys know how life has been.

To the adverts - sorry my blog isn't well maintained sufficiently for promotional usage.

To myself - YOU KNOW THE PROBLEMS, NOW DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. (you can start by getting the camera fixed)

To do this systematically..

last week - (and/or the week before that) finally reduced my working hours with StandChart to 1 day a week =D life has never been better. Met up with Jason, Lynn, Kai Xin, Sumi, Marc and Alvin.. it was pretty awesome.. a really nice stroll down memory lane. Looking at those form 3-5 pictures just makes me laugh..

this week - Hari Raya just passed by and left, seriously there was no ramadhan spirit in me at all.. maybe because I had lots of errands to run while mom was outstation.. then again I hope they're still selling lemang..

next week - apparently there's an event at Sri Sedaya.. shuffling competition held at a school lolz.. then there's Speedzone Tour held in Zouk.. more importantly i'm looking forward to the 27th, Revelation 5 Global Gathering!! =D as well as my paycheque that's past due for 2 months =.=

some time within these weeks..

i was bored at one point, but I needed to voice out because recently I've seen people wearing hoodies to all the wrong places.. Practically a hoodie should be worn only in cold places.. some people overlook the practical and wear it for.. (you people should know better why you wear it to stuffy and humid places). Anyways, what's your take on this? leave a comment on the vid, or maybe here =D

Oh yah, Klang Gates! check out Ray Mun's blog for more info... the view is just splendid..

Phaseshift.

February has been a rather pleasing month to me. So pleasant that this post will not involve any pictures XP. This period of less-than-30-days has taught me to feel grateful again for what i have. Oh right, Happy Chinese New Year!

It may sound wrong but going back to Bukit Pelandok this year has kept me smiling throughout my entire trip. Well not all the time. But it's just that reunion feeling that goes beyond happiness. And that feeling is totally indescribable.

PS: To fans of my vacation trips (like the unfinished langkawi post), if there are any, it will quite some time more till i get back to it. Honestly I've been losing the hype to blog. Sorry. Note: Bukit Pelandok is my hometown, it's near Sungai Nipah, the J.E. place? yeah. Thank God that was the past.

However back to this period of time. Due to overstatements and excessive commercials, the 14th of this month can be compared to a piece of shxt labelled 'chocolate'. When I was enlightened by Ms C during EngLit.. I couldn't agree more to Singles' Awareness Day, as well as to question, why the heck do people make such a big fuss about that day, when all it was known for, was a Saint who married people off secretly just so they wouldn't have to shed blood on the battlefield in war?? This is not a broken-hearted helpless romantic screaming for attention, but rather an individualist tearing off that 'chocolate' label of the piece of shxt, allowing its' stench to circulate and eventually bring conscience to those blinded by the media.

Moving on, CNY is up! Attended my first cny church service and it really gives a refreshing feeling! Everytime I get back to Bukit Pelandok a feel this great surge of faith, fire and strength, similar to the hype of praising and worship! Imagine a congregation of less than 40, lifting their hearts solely to Him and bearing witness to such strength in faith reminds me of how bad we want Him and all of it.. God is really magnificent (tell you why soon enough). Oh and as this's the year of the pig, i've been having loads of.. BABI!!! zomg. so much of it. i've had 'zhu du tang' (pork stomache soup), wich has loads of pork... and intestines.. gosh i love it. SO MUCH.

This cny, wit angpaos going on, I have yet to check my blessings this year. All I know is i surrender all that cash to God in contribution to ministrying in music (an electric guitar this year Lord, please =]).

Random thoughts. Ghost rider is really like that piece of sh.. labelled.. you get wha' mean. Aunt's got reunion and housewarming in penang this coming sat.. can't play for uth =( (perhaps He knows it's not my time to play lead..?).. I hope my next post will resume on those wonderful trips.. with lots of pics. I really hope. Right, about why God is so magnificent. Believe or not my cousin has been sharing the gospel with my grandmother for about 1-2 months.. and she's accepted Christ! It's said that the whole of heaven rejoices even when one soul is saved, what more the rest of the earth! Praise God and all glory to Him!!

Scripture to engrave : Jeremiah 29:11

February 14th another day,
how to love a person - infinite ways,
'i love you's on every other day,
isn't it just another phase?
