uplifting weiii

For people who've waited for an update, NAH here you go! =P Honestly I don't think this deserves to count as one. Doesn't matter anyway. Yah so just incase you don't know me I usually enter a moment of 'stimness' (no not THAT KINDA STIMNESS U SICK PEOPLE), whenever I listen to awesome music, may it be trance, rock, or even Sean Gordon!

Yeah so my latest craze is Benjamin. No not someone you know. Front man of the band Breaking Benjamin (yes I know the band is old la, I first heard them with their debut single So Cold le). Yeah anyway, his vocals are insane. I don't care what you think it's insane. It may be cheap metal, I don't care! It's alt-grunge (supposedly) maybe metal rocker wannabes but if you make tunes like that with metal, that's beautiful.

You know a good song when the intro gets your head nodding and fingers tapping. Heh. Anyone know of more tracks like these yes please do spam my cbox with recommendations, cuz I get reEAaAALL high on songs with guitar kills (like during the pre-chorus for this one).

Moving on. It's only less than 6 hours away. Cosmic gate, drum connection, the thrillseekers and DJ phynn. It's been quite awhile since my last rave, time to rawk it harder than ever! O yeah introducing my kaki for the rave, here's a tribute to Edmund aka ZenMaster! Nyeh! YOU DA RAWKER!

Oh and yes another reason why this video was posted is because of the backing track. UPLIFTUS MAXIMUS! For a moment. Megara n his good fren Lee le who else?

you take the breath right out of me. you know you do.

campus tours

I love roadtrips, seriously. There's just something about leaving home for just a few moments, 4-wheeling down that endless north-south highway (or LDP) for whatever reason, really. In this case I had a guide, which is really essential for every roadtrip.

I present to you - Markus! (that's how it's spelt if you were Russian okay.)

Marc you haven't really changed much, except that you're into frisbee now lolz. Talking bout the haircut that hasn't changed. Anyways, you can't go on a roadtrip before stocking up, which we did at Shell (near Ou if ur wondering).

Savvy with the Zero Body Kit. Marcus punya.

Marcus chose the Savvy for the journey cuz lower CC cars = lower fuel consumption, and only little difference in power, I'll explain about power later.

For those who have absolutely no idea where we're going, I REAAALLLLY hope this picture gives it away.

No?

How bout this?

Oh right hahah! There it is, the open day dates that I've been looking for.. Was supposed to go and take a look again with some friends, yay semenyih tour again!

Yeah that's the sign you'll want to see if you're travelling alone. It's also the sign you can't miss actually so if you didn't come across it, don't worry you should be fine as long as the Digi Yellowman is there to help you.

So we reached sometime in the morning, pretty early actually. Left around 9-10.. reached around 11? Somehow, I get the feeling the entrance of Nottingham was designed by the exact same guy who designed SMKDU's entrance. Or maybe his sifu..

cuz of this awesome fountain that totally pwnz DU's!

I realised Nottingham is a good place to emo. No really. If you feel dam emo and look towards the sky.. you see..

heaven and earth...

Heaven and earth and a patch of hutan

Heaven and hutan and earth and @()M#+!V(@#+_<(!@# (At this point you should be at the climax)

Anyways, enough digressing. This is the main reason I travelled more than 50 kilometres for -

It's rather majestic actually. The University of Nottingham, which apparently is rumored to have lotsa activities besides sports ie sleeping, bumming, lazing around, staring into space, counting how many windows does the entire campus have OKAY! GOT THE PICTURELA! zzz.

Now to reveal their trump card which is actually the sports facilities.

8 hoops in total, 2 fibreglass and the rest wooden boards.
These were only erm.. 1/3 of all the hoops you're looking at.

Oh yah. Their toilets are awesome too.

That's a gym and some badminton courts in a hall itself, which leads to the swimming pool. There's also a tennis court. I didn't lie about the fibreglass see?

And for whatever reason.. incase you were wondering, this is a mosque. Really.A mosque.

?

WAT THE?! Super super random! Why the heck do ducks come to a university?! (Maybe they're doing a Quacker-oats promo.. get it..quack-er.. NVM.)

The clock tower is actually the highlight of the view of the campus.
It looks better at night. - "Marcus Tan"

Was about time to meet Khong and go off for lunch, semenyih-style! Kien Khong, my good mate since DU, a student of Nottingham currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Nott-maestros, Khong and Marc(about to begin Mech Engineering as well).

Oh and my parents who also came to visit the campus.
In dad's sleek Accord.

Incase you are at lost and at this junction, turn back cuz there's food and water supply at a place called University of Nottingham. If you have a car and you are hungry, then take a left, apparently it's few of the places that has good food around here. To all food lovers and critics, The food here is a level above PJ food, so it wouldn't hurt to come down just for a meal if you're THAT crazy about food.

Eventually we had lunch at some tai chao restaurant. Was so hungry i forgot about pictures. Anyways, it was then we had to head home because the trip took the life out of us. I still respect Marcus for his perseverance. 10/10 for ya.

This was the departure time.

And of course when we reached home.

So now you know it takes a whopping 45 minutes to get here! No wonder those people at Notts are so happy to see someone new at the campus! Jokes aside, thanks a lot Marcus. Thanks a lot Khong. REAAAALLLLYy appreciate it. Sorry I'm not going to Notts after all.

Oh ya. About power, the Savvy did a time under 45 minutes, and 45 minutes being the average time taken to reach Semenyih. And just for the record about 1/8 of the road there was winding worse than Genting Highlands.

enquire.within

In less than 5 hours someone out there will be screaming.

In less than 5 hours someone out there will be weeping.

In less than 5 hours I'm still listening to rather emotional tracks, running through alternate versions of Time After Time.

In less than 5 hours, someone out there should be reaAAaaaAllyy happy.

In less than 5 days, someone is still fickle minded about updating his/her blog.

In less than 5 minutes, some song has to be played to fill this nervewrecking silence.

In less than 5 words.....

I really don't know.

Yeah results are out on the 16th of august 1600 hours. I can't wait. Right.

wth?

... I'm not going to Nottingham anymore.

Parents sending me off to SEGi. Sorry Marc, sorry Khong, I really like Nottingham a lot.

There's lotsa pros and cons between both but yeah.. sometimes there are other factors as well.. Either way.. Bachelor of Engineering here I come~ (doesn't sound a lot like me, does it?)

melodic.wings

Was actually chatting with Edwin the other day when he passed me this funky link, was telling me to check it out. Yun's cover of Andy Mckee's awesome guitar piece-song-whateveryoucallit. It was an awesome display of talent.. when I saw..

Right for those of you who don't know who Sean Gordon is, he's one of the pioneers of the Simpsons and Mario theme song played on guitar. Yeah that's him. Search shonsta on YouTube. This guy is really brilliant. Currently still spellbound by his self-written song Melodic Wings as shown below.

It's gonna take me forever to reach their level of music..

Randomosity

Just dug up some photos from the pile.. couldn't help but notice this few.. some random night out wit Ernest, Wei Jinn, Tsong and Elisa. Footage courtesy of Ms. Elisa who had her hands glued to my A430 as well as wei jiannn (which is currently severely damaged due to some redang sea water).

Since holidays started I've been bumming like mad... though I did go out for dinner with Jason, Jeffrey, Ching and Cheng Wei last night at Kim Gary's, The Curve.

Eh actually your hair quite long ar, never really noticed. I mean er.. compared to now it's relatively long. Speaking of which my hair was rather long then too.. eventually gave up on keeping long hair.. darn tiresome.

Heahah tsong.. never had a shot more candid than this.. besides that constipated face only you can do. Nest khaw.. i'm pretty sure you're bumming too, except you've a car which really makes a world of difference..

Ok I'm done randoming. PS : Jinn, I was about to post the wetland picture but I realised you weren't it in so yeah, till I get the one with you in it, make some spot the differences game perhaps?

Brethren.

Lol my hair really sucks in that picture. This was PD early this year after our 2nd externals. Yet to blog about it, doubt I will have the patience to wait for Blogger's uber-slow photo uploading service anyway. This picture probably holds more value than loads of the emo pics I took during the trip, since a picture is worth a thousand words (more than that actually).

This is a tribute to you Loong! Bluddy Kermit. Kinda disappointing to hear that you won't be coming back to KL again. Redang was really great. The only thing better than that is meeting up again in the near 2-3 years perhaps?

There's actually a similarity within the 3 pictures through which I realised, that though some of us may not always be in these 2d-frames, they're actually closer to us than we think. (sorry I had to be cheesy, wouldn't bring out the reminiscence if I didnt.) Here's to a great 3/2 years of A-Levels!

License To Thrill : RM 130

Shirt from Topman : RM 150

Parking at Mandarin : RM 8

Batteries for camera : RM 5.90

One last chance to see (some of) your college mates : Priceless. (There's still our langkawi trip..)

One person that stood out that night : Flawless. (We're talking about beauty here just so you know)

Once in a lifetime experience to be blocked by Jie : Timeless. (I'm sure there's more from where that came from =.=)

That was more or less the bittersweet summary of my A-Levels Ball experience, strange innit? I'm quite sure I got my thrill that night though. So anyways, it was supposed to start at 7 when they really had a hard time getting everyone into the ballroom. To be frank I've never been to Mandarin.. was rather spellbound when I saw the ballroom.

If you thought the ballroom was magnificent wait till you see the toilet, yes the toilet. It sounds rather inappropriate to put it that way, but SERIOUSLY! I quote Wei Jin : "This hotel has a toilet IN A TOILET!"

Front view of le johns'

Side view of.. that's edwin btw.. now we know who's more vain.. not forgetting Encik Tuala by the side.

To be more precise, the toilet was almost as big as... you could park a car in it. I mean it, no hiperbolic expressions involved.

Before you continue scrolling, I'd like to apologize for the low quality of pictures that would cause optical damage to my most respected readers out there (if you guys are still there =/).

Jomi sorry.. I sucked in your coat.. Thought he'd look better in it..
This's Keyang btw. JerryC wannabe?

Loong kor! which means dragon. Probably the most random guy from miri I know.
I don't know that many anyway.

Left to right : June Liang, Chee Kien (Setapak shuffler!) and Jie (Kedah's Pride)

Left to right : Wei Jin (eye candy nominator), Caleb ("anymore sarcasm and it'll be hurtful"), Ashvini & June Liang.

Loo and Keyang (Goddess Fans)

Eat some eat.. Sitting at table 45.. we had the front view of the rear entrance of the ballroom, like front row seats for the red carpet showcase! Sadly that meant we were the furthest from the stage.. well not that it really made a difference.. Bands that performed were Borange, some other super awesome jazz band, which then switched their vocalist to 18 year old Cheryl Tan (I have no idea who you are but you sound like Gwen Stefani Jr.). Singing belaian jiwa, frontman Keeshaw (I hope I got this right) along with the rest of Borange (I think?), started out kinda sloppy but you could tell they meant business when Accidentally In Love brought life back into their show again.

A few simple games here and there to get the ballroom pretty hyped up, along with the best dressed male and female award - Wei Jin
(not the one we know) as best dressed male and who was best dressed female again..? With prom king being Mr JoTe and Ms Sukanya as prom queen, Borange (without Keeshaw now) elevated the scene with Dancing in the Moonlight, a definite hearthrob for the ladies.

And what a way to end the prom by evolving from band-played-dance-songs to RnB dance tracks, then adjourning to house music... ugh. Couldn't be bothered, so we HAD to snap our final memories outside the ballroom.

Ming Ka (sorry if I spelt wrong) and Yours Truly (hmm i prefer to be labelled cheez/chee seng)

That's Calvin in between Chee Kien and I.
(Sorry I had to use this pic, i sucked in the other same one though it had better quality.)

Left to right : Wai Onn, Zhan Sheng and Cheng Wei.

Terrible lighting. Thousand apologies.

Well that was more or less about it, my Canon A430 Powershot was underused, perhaps because it didn't have anti-shock, less loading speed and a super-sexy-slim body. I don't blame you dear, we'll work to turn you into a hot Ixus alright? Before leaving I reallocated my car at a higher level since there was space, and couldn't help but pay tribute to
OMG! Nissan Skyline R34?! I think. Anyways it was a breathtaking moment. Pretty much like when she passes by.

Hahahaha. This brings back memories.

The ball ended that night but I was quite sure that it didn't for the rest of us. The rest of the night laughing at Wei Jin competing against me in NFS:Carbon for eye candy? (you lost pal, i'm probably ahead in the race now). Thks fr the mmrs.

Where is she...?

Autobots Rollout!

Before I begin.. NO SPOILERS** I SWEAR!
This year's most anticipated flick - Transformers - The Movie. Was it really?

Here's a few reasons why it should win the best movie of the year award..

1) Hot lead actresses
Sure maybe any movie could get some random hot girl to star in it, but Michael Bay (director) was a guy with vision. He didn't just take some girl next door - he brought the next closest thing to Helen of Troy! We're talking abo
ut Megan Fox and Rachel Taylor (okay maybe not as hot as Megan but hey two's always better than one!). Playing the lead actress Mikaela, Megan may seem like your everyday-i'm-so-hot-and-i-can't-resist-guys-with-awesome-body kinda girl but she's not only an S-class eye candy - she's really handy with cars too. As for Rachel Taylor.. she's a beauty with brains and a darn cool English accent.

Megan Fox a.k.a Mikaela
(Appeared in Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen *apparently*)

2) Breathtaking action scenes
It may just be bunch of toy transformers in a battle royale but NO! Michael Bay has probably stolen every idea from On The Lot and added his own touch of magic to the movie. The result was the clash of titans between the Autobot armada against the Decepticon... deceivers! Anyway, the action scenes were like 1mm away from realism, so you should know how close that is.

3) Excellent artwork woven alive
Gloss is the new black. These transformers hav the most shiny exoskeleton that would leave anyone drooling all over the artwork. Of course with a company like Dreamworks backing this movie up, it's no wonder to see the best of animation imbued within these warriors of Cybertron. However to a certain extent, the flame vinyl of Optimus Prime has been labelled 'jeng'. Jeng or not, I still think Optimus has the most awesome artwork of all Autobots.. next to that dual-cannon bot.. forgot his name though.

4) Versatile lead actor - Eddie from Even Stevens?!
Yeap it's that boy. Johnny Depp Jr? In the running maybe. This maybe the first time I've seen him in a movie but apparently he's started in The Greatest Game Ever Played, as the main character. Yeah I won't take the trouble to search up his name, but he is just darn good. Alternating between humour and drama, he can change expressions more frequent than daily underwear changes! Daniel Radcliffe.. you have a tough opponent this year XP

5) Sleek and hot cars

This element appeals to everyone. Girls love that Porsche that Jazz transforms into, and don't tell me you weren't eyes wide open when Bumblebee 'revamped' himself as a Camaro. Fyi these aren't spoilers.. haven't spoiled any of the plot yet have I? XP I know this doesn't fit in this category but STARSCREAM and BLACKOUT are the coolest transformers EVER! Transforming from a F-22 and some chopper which I may not have paid attention to, their bot form is just insanely 'yeng', if i were to put it.

6) Awesome OST
A movie and its soundtrack go hand in hand. Many movies out there are really good, but having a great soundtrack complimenting it is a different story. Now the Transformers OST is a compilation of various rock artists, surprisingly even Styles Of Beyond (Fort Minor's crew anyone?). EXCLUDING LINKIN PARK'S WHAT I'VE DONE, this is really a sexy piece of soundtrack you'd wish you get your hands on. Taking Back Sunday, Goo Goo Dolls, The Used, HIM, Armor For Sleep, Disturbed and Smashing Pumpkins just to name a few. IF you've gotten it, please let me know. Just leave a note here cuz I really want one song that I was looking for when it was played during the movie... it was an inspiring tune that rang n left, just like Helen of Troy.. sigh..

Transformers OST - I WANT!

Okay maybe there wasn't enough proof that this movie deserves the movie of the year award. Well then, what other movies could've won it? Please don't say Harry Potter.. it gave me that WOW effect when I was watching the trailer wich was like mole hill compared to that Transformers mountain! Before you critics kick in once again, I'd love to say MEGAN FOX ROX MY SOX! wow lots of oxs.

This is an image response to 'Salivation without..'

Finally. Time. Yes sorry this has been delayed. This a response to you 'Salivation without the first i'!! Anyhow, this i shall try to record this one using a new technique - the photographic voice. Cheezlangkawishuffle day 2 AND 3!

Was still at langkawi mall.. getting ready to leave the parking lot..

Heh.

Heh?

21st century radio. seriously took us almost forever to try to work it which did not happen. eventually found out langkawi had only ONE STATION, YES ONE wtf why one? Kedah so near oso can't receive meh?! the rest of it was pleasant static. oh yes, the sweet sound of static. zzzzzz.

Dad and Uncle John Varsanyi, yani for short. why is it yani for short anyway...? looks like some bouncer at zouk..

... Malaysia, piratedly asia. and it's not just the VCDs, they've stolen the colonel sanders' royalty!

nothing like the original recipe eh?

Random pre-sunset shot. Leaving Kuah.. back to suites..

Serena convoy! i don't even know who they are. Stopped by at some fruit stall on the way back.

If there's anything better than chocolate.. its alcohol AND chocolate =)

19 different liquors within bottle-shaped chocolates. they've got it all from malibu, jack daniel's, vodka, rum, gin, whiskey, martini i'm randoming now please move on chivas, henessy, sake..

Of course no trip would be complete without our OWN chocolates. Chee Hong bought some bitter chocolate. not my stuff. seriously.

JD.. JD.. MORE PLEASEEEE..

Ok enough. Behtahan adi. Went to get some snooze. Day 3. we went separate ways. Uncle Yani, Auntie Kwi Ching, Timmy and Priscilla spent their WHOLE morning at the pool. Instead, we went to this cultural village.. which was right outside the hotel, which we did not notice till our last day of stay at Berjaya. Wow =) How observant! Oh to DU people out there, I met Wei Hsuen at Langkawi! Sadly didn't cross my mind to snap photos with him.. he was about to leave when we arrived at some roadside warong anyway.. Dined at some random Jap restaurant instead..

Some people just can't stand sitting up straight.

Mom and dad! hehehe now i know where i inherited my poser-ism

Random exploration.. on the way to Holland.

?!

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to The Andaman. We hope your stay with us will be a memorable and pleasant one. It IS a majestic and awfully serene palace-like hotel.

No mom we're not allowed to bring that back.

Oho! So what do we do? Stop when they cross? Might as well have a traffic light

Andamanbeachview.jpg

Andamantryingtobeemo.jpg

Leaving Holland..

On the way back.. and thought I'd leave a souvenir for Miss Canada.. XP

Upon returning to the suites, packing was in progress and eventually it was goodbye langkawi. But this trip is not complete till..

...you've climbed the eagle?

thisphotographisproof.jpg

Taking off as we leave o faithful eagle, I've definitely left my footsteps here.
